Two years ahead of schedule, Transamerica ended its 10 year deal with TATA CONSULTANCY SERVICES, and is now planning to reduce its dependence on third party IT vendors. The Union Cabinet is expected to approve a Rs 25,000 cr scheme for Semiconductor manufacturing. In May, finance minister Sitharaman highlighted the government’s priority to encourage and facilitate investments in India through PLI schemes, which are being expanded beyond the initial 14 sectors to include semiconductors and solar components. read more
