Apple updates Windows Apple Music preview app 2023

Previously, Windows users had to access these Apple applications through the obsolete iTunes for Windows application. Microsoft has announced that Apple Music and Apple TV programs will be available for Windows users in 2022. By 2023, users will be able to download these applications from the Microsoft Store and deploy them on their Windows devices.

Apple released preview versions of these two applications for Windows users in January. The Cupertino-based tech behemoth also unveiled an Apple Devices app that enables Windows users to manage iPhones, iPads, and iPods from their computers.

As these are preview versions, Apple cautioned that “not all features may work as expected.” Now, the iPhone manufacturer has released new updates for the Windows 11 PC preview versions of Apple Music, Apple TV, and Apple Devices.

According to a report by MacRumors, the latest update to the preview applications is anticipated to include significant enhancements and bug fixes.

Updates to Apple’s Windows applications

Apple has not provided release notes for the most recent software updates, so the report does not include a comprehensive inventory of changes and bug fixes.

However, Reddit users have discovered that the Apple Music Preview app reportedly now supports Windows 11 media controls and keyboard shortcuts. The most recent version of the preview application also supports lyrics and provides uninterrupted playback of consecutive lossless recordings.

In the case of the Apple Devices preview application, the company has reportedly removed references to the software expected to operate on its rumored mixed reality headset. According to the report, references to “xrOS” and “RealityOS” have been removed.
