WhatsApp Developing Android Beta “Lock Chat” 2023

It has been claimed that the messaging network WhatsApp, which is owned by Meta, is working on a new “Lock chat” feature for the Android beta version of the app. This feature would purportedly enable users to lock their talks and keep them secret. According to WABetaInfo, this new feature will enable users to lock their most private chats inside the chat’s contact or group details, which will result in an increase in the level of privacy enjoyed by the users.

When a conversation is locked, the only way to unlock it is by using the user’s fingerprint or a passcode. This makes it extremely difficult for anybody else to access the chat. When a conversation is locked, only the user’s fingerprint or passcode can unlock it.

Also, if a third party attempts to access the user’s phone but is unable to provide the necessary authentication, the user will be required to delete all of their conversation histories before the phone can be opened. This function also helps to maintain the confidentiality of material by preventing photographs and videos that are shared in a protected conversation from being automatically stored to the gallery of the recipient’s device.

According to the source, the feature that will allow users to secure their conversations is presently being worked on and is scheduled to be included in an upcoming version of the application.

At this time, on Friday, it was claimed that the messaging platform was releasing a new text editing experience to a select group of beta testers on the Android beta platform.
